Christmas has passed. The snow has turned to muddy slush. Kind of a blah day. But all each of us has is the day, so I am on a mission to turn every day special.
I bought a Wonder Woman costume for Halloween one year. Although the costume was only worn once, the cape has been much more appreciated. Sometimes, when I get into that blah mood, I nonchalantly put the cape on and not only does it make me feel better, it is quite hilarious to everyone else (note maybe you are surrounded with people with more discretionary senses of humor and my suggestions will not be worthwhile or may bring ridicule, so read with caution). So if you do not have a cape, I say get a cape!!!
Gems like that will be filled in this blog. Might want to keep reading.
"Stories are light. Light is precious in a world so dark." Kate Dicamillo, The Tale of Despereaux. This blog is like my story and it is my attempt at bringing a little light and laughter into a oftentimes dark world. Things like:
Christmas coupons ideas (although my voice on my nephews nonexistent voicemail box was not well recieved, others may think that is an awesome coupon)
Tips for how best to enjoy a rascal scooter

and much more will be discussed.
Clearly life is too serious. There are devastating things going on everywhere. I feel I and most likely others are better equipped if they are able to have a positive attitude with the right questions floating around in their head (ie What can I do to make someone laugh today? How could we get more done and have fun doing it? compared to Why is life so hard? Why did I even get out of bed today or my favorite from my dad after he had gotten a bee sting "Why did we even come to the cottage?")
Lastly, I read a lovely quote in I Could Do Anything if Only I Knew What It Was. "There will never be another you." So whoever (arg is it whomever???) you are, I hope you realize how lucky the world is to have you and I hope we are lucky enough to glimpse your uniqueness!!!
